Mission

More than 500 volunteers are on the go during that weekend. This generates substantial benefits for the village.

Every single year since 1980, all the associations from the village receive subsidies that enable them to improve and implement their projects. In 1988, the ASBL Brocante bought a ground of 2 hectares to install a play ground for its inhabitants’ delight; they can benefit, in a fantastic green area, of four tennis courts, two soccer grounds, volley ball grounds, basket ball and jack ground, skittles, a tennis table and a playground for children.

Finally, since 1993, the organizing committee has decided to share its benefits with those in real need. Subsidies are granted to associations that are out of the village and that support housing, health and the “welcome” of the underprivileged.

In 2007, subsidies were granted to

  • School and deafness
Since 2000, the “Institut Sainte-Marie of Namur” welcomes children who are hearing-impaired. The aim of this project is to allow a structured and adapted integration of deaf children in a “normal” school.
